    Remarks: 
    Commemorates Civil War Brigadier General Evander McNair. Monument is located on land that was formerly the property of Vicksburg National Military Park. SOS! survey reported artist as Clinton Schaaf, based on inscription. IAS cataloger believes artist is Anton Schaaf, who did other military monuments at the site. The monument is on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures (LCS no. 03329). IAS files contain a copy of the LCS report form. Bronze cost $650 paid by Federal Government.
