Remarks:
Donald McLeod, the younger brother of Rev. Alexander McLeod, was born on Jan. 18, 1778 on Isle of Mull in Scotland. He was the son of Rev. Neil McLeod of St. Kilda, Isle of Mull, Scotland. He immigrated to the U.S., but returned to Scotland. He entered the army and rose to the rank of Colonel. He was killed in Portugal during the Peninsular War of 1808-1814.
