    Remarks: 
    Alexander McLeod was born on June 12, 1774 on Isle of Mull in Scotland. He was the son of Rev. Neil McLeod of St. Kilda, Isle of Mull, Scotland. He came to the United States in 1799, settling in New York where he spent the balance of his life. He graduated from Union College and married Anne Agnew on Sept. 16, 1805. He received his Doctor of Divinity degree from the College of Middlebury in Vermont. He became a pastor at the First Reform Presbyterian Church in New York City. He died in New York City on Feb. 17, 1833.
