    Remarks: 
    Cornelius McGillicuddy, who was always known as Connie Mack, managed the Philadelphia Athletics for fifty years. When he died in 1956 the Connie Mack Memorial Committee was formed to create a memorial to him. Funds were raised through appeals to baseball fans across the country.
