Description:
A bust of comedian Milton Berle with his head tilted to the proper right and his proper right hand is at shoulder level. He wears a coat that is delineated only to the edge of the lapels and ends at the end of his shoulders, the proper right shoulder leaning downward. His hair is slicked back and he wears a scarf that is softly modeled and tied in a bow at the neck. The bust has a shiny dark brown patina.

Remarks:
The bust was commissioned to commemorate Milton Berle's induction into the
Academy
of
Television
Arts
and
Sciences
Hall of Fame in 1984. The bust was one of several pieces in place for the May 4, 1991 dedication ceremonies of the
Academy
's new headquarters. The sculpture's selection and placement in the plaza were overseen by the Hall of Fame Sculpture Committee, chaired by architect Jan Scott. Scott also designed the base for the bust. IAS files contain a related article about the ATAS Hall of Fame.
