    Remarks: 
    Peter Laurentius Larsen (1833-1915), a native of Norway, was a founder and first president of Luther College, 1861-1911. He was a professor of theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and a pastor at Half Way Creek, Wisconsin, where the first Luther College classes were held.
