    Description: 
    St. John Baptiste De LaSalle stands with his proper left arm on the shoulder of a standing boy student who holds an open book with both hands. A smaller boy sits on a stool by De LaSalle's proper right foot, reading from an open book. Two books are stacked on the ground behind the standing boy. De LaSalle is dressed in the robes of a church dignitary, wearing of an ankle-length robe with buttons running down the front from the collar to the hem, a sash around the waist and a long cape draped over his shoulders. The boys are dressed in early 19th century clothes, wearing knee-length britches and knickers. The standing boy wears a knee-length coat. The sculpture is mounted upon a graduated, inscribed base.
