Remarks:
Conradin Kreutzer, 1780-1849, was a German composer. He wrote opera, chamber music, and "lieder." The bust was won by the United Singers of Baltimore for their performance of "Am Ammersee" by F. Langer at the 24th National Sangerfest which was held in Brooklyn, New York in 1915. The singers in turn donated the bust to the City of Baltimore. Nearby plaque reads: H. JOHN FREEMAN/1892-1984/TENOR SOLOIST WITH UNITED/SINGERS IN PRIZE SONG, 1915/INSCRIBED ON THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY THERE OF.
