Description:
A bust of comedian Ernie Kovacs, portrayed holding his customary cigar in his proper right hand. He has a short moustache and creases line his brow. He wears a tie and roughly modeled jacket, with a cigar in the proper left breast pocket. The bust is tapered and without arms, with the proper right hand placed on top of the pedestal before it. On the rear of the bust is relief scene with three musicians, all with hats and beards. The musician on the left sits at a piano-like instrument. The center musician sits while the musician on the right stands.

Remarks:
The bust was commissioned to commemorate Ernie Kovacs' induction into the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. A second bust was installed in the executive television offices in Trenton, New Jersey, Kovacs' hometown. Jan Scott designed the base. IAS files contain a related article about the ATAS Hall of Fame.
