The Royals were quickly established as a model franchise with innovative programs/to develop young players. Kauffman stadium, one of baseball's most beautiful ballparks, was opened in 1973, and/named in Mr. Kauffman's honor in 1993. During their ownership, the Royals won six division championships, two American Leaque pennants, and the World Series in 1985. Mr. and Mrs. Kauffman's legacy continues with a visionary plan/to keep baseball in Kansas City./Dedicated June 25, 1999/Muriel McBride Kauffman Foundation/Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation signed
    Description: 
    Life-sized figures of Mr. Ewing Marion Kauffman and his wife Muriel walking hand in hand. Mr. Kauffman wears a suit and tie, and his his jacket has a Kansas City Royals emblem on the left breast pocket. Mrs. Kauffman wears a short coat and a necklace. The sculpture is installed on a square black granite base with an inscription on the front.
