    Eighteen bronze figures representing students from a Prince Edward Island school who walked out in 1951 to protest their rundown and overcrowded school. At center is Barbara Rose Johns, the student who called the strike. Lawyers Oliver W. Hill Sr. and Spottswood III are also depicted. The figures are all set before a granite wall with a quote from Barbara Johns: "IT SEEMED LIKE REACHING FOR THE MOON."
