Description:
A bust of Brigadier General Francis J. Herron dressed in military uniform and wearing a mustache and beard. The bust is mounted upon a two-sectioned base with plaques, and set upon a foundation.

Remarks:
Commemorates Civil War Brigadier General Francis J. Herron. The bust was moved from its original site to make room for Pemberton Mall. Monument is located on land that was formerly property of Vicksburg National Military Park. Erected by the federal government. The monument is on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures (LCS no. 03322). IAS files contain a copy of the LCS report form. Bronze bust cost $575 and pedestal cost $208.91 paid by the Federal Government.
