    Remarks: 
    Commemorates Civil War Brigadier General Ben Hardin Helm, who died in battle on September 20, 1863. Erected by the federal government. The monument is on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures (LCS no. 03320). IAS files contain a copy of the LCS report form. Bronze cost $650 paid by teh Federal Government.
