Major Richard Graham was born in 1784 in dumphries, Prince William County, Virginia, the son of Richard Graham of Dumphries and his wife Jane Brent. He was severed as a major, 17th U.S. Infantry during the War of 1812, on the staff of General Harrison, later he was commissioned as an indian agent in St. Louis. He resided in St. Louis, Missouri, and died there in 1862.
