    Dr. John Eoff, the son of John Eoff and Susannah Shepherd, was born in Shepherdstown, West Virginia on Oct. 2, 1751 and died on Jan. 28, 1859 in Wheeling, where he is buried in Greenwood Cemetery. He moved to Wheeling about 1817 and married Helen Starke Quarrier of Richmond, Virginia, and had ten children.
