Benjamin Charles Duncan was the son of James M. Duncan and Mary Hunt Gamble Duncan. He was born July 4, 1784 in Botetourt Co., Virginia; married Nancy Ross in 1812 in Tennessee; and died April 6, 1880 in Grenada County, Mississippi.
