    Remarks: 
    Roderick Lathrop Dodge was born on Sept. 7, 1809 in Hartland, Vermont and died on March 31, 1893. He was the son of Susan Dodge. His first wife was Emeline Bradshaw, and his second wife, Elizabeth Bradshaw, whom he married on Aug. 27, 1844, was the sister of his first wife. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1831. He was a physician/druggist, and a medical missionary among the Creek and Cherokee Indians. He was the mayor of Little Rock in 1847, and was a banker, and founder of the old Little Rock Gas Company. He was a prominent temperance advocate, establishing "The Temperance Journal" in 1844.
