    Description: 
    This lunette is one of eight along the east end mezzanine that illustrate battle scenes. The view here shows General Henry Dodge mounted on his horse, his arm extended to accept surrender from a group of Miami Indians at Malta Bend on the Missouri River, near what is now Miami in Saline County. Standing next to General Dodge is Nathaniel Boone, son of Daniel Boone. Standing on the far right is Captain Callaway, and his rangers are standing nearby watching the scene unfold. On the far left is Ben Cooper standing by his horse.
