    Description: 
    A sculpture depicting the Last Supper. Jesus is seated at the center of the table, with six Apostles on either side. Some of the Apostles are seated; others standing. Jesus rests his hands on the table. His proper left hand is turned palm upward. Of all the figures, Jesus has more detail shown, in the depiction of his clothing, face and hair. The Apostles have very little detail shown. The entire sculpture is placed under an open-sided structure.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was fabricated by the artist using white sand from Oak Creek Canyon. Bob Conibear, the artist's brother, was the sitter for the figure of the Apostle, James, the Greater. Because of repeated acts of vandalism and increasing costs of maintenance, with permission of the artist's family, the sculpture was destroyed in November 1993.
    IAS files contain text of nearby plaques which describe the artist's intent and the process used to create the sculpture. IAS files contain articles from The Sun, Flagstaff, April 9, 1971, Section A, pg. 2; from Arizona Republic, Nov. 8, 1993, pg. B2. and from Red Rock News, Oct. 27, 1976; and April 16, 1980, pg. 6A. SOS! report lists execution date as 1950s. Arizona Republic (Nov. 8, 1993) article gives 1960s as date.
