Description:
The gravemarker consists of a marble stele carved with a Celetic cross, in the center of which is a bronze relief portrait of Patrick A. Collins. The marble stele is installed on a granite base.

Remarks:
Patrick A. Collins, 1844-1905, was an Irish-born Mayor of Boston, as well as a former Congressman and Senator for the State of Massachusetts. The sculpture was erected through public subscription and also marks the graves of Mary C. Blunt, Mary E. Collins, Paul A. Collins, and Agnes C. Stevenson. IAS files contain a brief biography of Patrick A. Collins, as well as an article from the Boston Evening Transcript, Nov. 2, 1908, pg. 1, which discusses the dedication.
