    Full-length portrait of David Baldwin seated in a red chair with his left hand on his hip and his right hand holding a book on a writing desk at his side. He wears a checkered waistcoat and green coat. Shelves of books are on a bookcase above the desk and many papers are on the small shelves in the desk, along with a quill pen.
