    Inscription: Juan Pantaleon son of Luis de Aviles and Martina de Luna Alvarado. Farmers of the neighboring town of Coamo in the island of San Juan Bautista de Puerto Rico. He was born on July 2, 1806, and was taken to the city of San Juan by his parents. His excellency Bishop Juan Alexo de Arismendi confered upon him the sacrament of confirmation on April 6, 1808, ordering this portrait of the child.
