Remarks:
One of a group of small plaster heads of celebrity radio and film stars created by illustrator Sam Berman. Berman was commissioned by NBC to do a promotional booklet of portraits of their on air talent in 1947. The original paintings were exhibited at Rockefeller Center that year and thousands filed in to see them daily. The plaster sculptures are from that series for NBC Parade of Stars.
