Inscription:  (Lower left:) Eugene Speicher signed Description:  Portrait of Katharine seated in an interior, her body facing front, her gaze directed down to the left, and her arms resting on the arms of her floral upholstered chair. She wears a dark skirt, a white blouse, and a light sweater with a wide belt. Her long blond hair is held back with a headband and short bangs fall across her forehead. Behind her on the left there is square table holding a clock and a vase of flowers, and on the right there is an upholstered chair.
