Portrait of Elmyra Pearl Sallade seated in a red chair beside a small table covered in a red tablecloth. She wears a red necklace and a red bracelet on each wrist. She rests her right arm on the table, and a small vase of flowers stands near her elbow.

Remarks:
The painting was done from a daguerreotype. Elmyra Pearl Sallade was born in New York and came to Wisconsin at the request of her uncle, Col. Stephen Van Renessalaer Ableman, founder of Ableman, Wisconsin. She married Nathaniel Sallade in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. She died in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin in 1910. The donor was the sitter's grandniece.
