    Owner reported that sitter Anne, Countess of Northampton, married Charles Compton, 7th Earl of Northampton; daughter Elizabeth was born in 1760. In Aug. 1762, Lord Northampton was appointed Ambassador to Venice, where Anne and Elizabeth were painted soon after their arrival in Oct. 1762.
