    Remarks: 
    Commemorates Bowen R. Church, the park's bandmaster, and a cornet player in the Reeves American Band. The sculpture was funded by William G. James, Church's friend. Originally installed across from the park bandstand. After being vandalized in 1953, it was moved indoors to the park museum where it remained until 1993. A new patina and base were added, and the statue was installed in its present location in Spring 1993.
