    Description: 
    A bronze statue of a young officer of the Spanish American War standing at ease on a granite base. He is dressed in uniform of a second lieutenant, with boots, leggings, pants, jacket with high collar, and gloves. Both gloved hands rest on the hilt of a sword which he holds in front of him, the tip resting on the ground. His proper right hand also holds the brim of his officer's hat.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was erected by the Alumni Association of St. Paul's, in memory of men from St. Paul's who fought and died in the Spanish-American War. $10,000 was raised through public subscription.
