    Description:
Ten red cedar signs carved in relief and painted. One sign depicts an axe on the left, a wooden spinning wheel in the center, and a dulcimer on the right. Another sign depicts a landscape scene with a log cabin on the right; two other log buildings are to the left of the cabin. All the buildings are surrounded by a split-rail fence. On the far right and far left are trees. Another sign depicts a grouping of plants, yellow, white and purple flowers, and herbs. Another sign depicts a full-length figure of a woman in right profile. She wears a long red dress and has her hair pulled back in a bun. To her right is a dress form and she is leaning over to work on a partially finished dress. Another sign depicts three candles, two of which are in candleholders.
Another sign depicts three instruments positioned vertically --a string dulcimer in back, a fiddle on the right with a bow resting across it, and a banjo on the left. Another sign depicts a toy rocking horse with saddle. Another sign depicts a carved oak basket resting on a cloth draped table. Another sign depicts a pioneer couple. The couple's faces are cut-out and the sign is used for tourist photographs. Another sign depicts a waist-length figure of a nineteenth century rural scout. He wears a leather tunic coat, a beaverskin hat with a feather, and carries a rifle which is resting in his proper left arm.
