A young, nude woman with long hair hanging down her back. Her proper left arm is raised above her head, while with her outstretched proper right arm she touches what appears to be a seagull's wing. The seagull is in flight with its proper left wing touching the proper right wing of a second seagull which is also in flight. The woman's body below the torso becomes undefined, and turns into a column. The sculpture is mounted on a square base.

Smith International Drilling Systems, 16740 Hardy Street, Houston, Texas

Commissioned by Donald Morris, then president of Drilco, one of Smith International's Divisions, to honor the employees' wives. The company calls the sculpture "Drilco Lady". Inscription on base is a quote from Carl Sandburg.
