    (Located back of base, center:) ALBERT LAESSLE 1928 ROMAN WORKS N.Y. signed Founder's mark appears.
    Description: 
    A rearing or dancing goat stands on one proper right rear hoof. The other hoof is entangled in leaves. Also in the leaves are a turtle and ladybug. The goat's head is tucked close to its arched neck. The proper left horn is broken off. The sculpture sits atop a small concrete base and is within a square area which has five storybook images each in a circle and made of 4 in. x 4 in. mosaic ceramic tiles. The five characters are: Pieman; Mary and her sheep; Humpty Dumpty; Miss Muffett; and Tom, the Piper's son.
