Depicted under the three facade arches are: the Arkansas Traveller and the Traveller's Wife, characters from a folk song titled The Arkansas Traveller. Heads of each only are shown. Between them, is a mythological scene - a relief of a frightened-looking, bearded man, grasping a serpent or monster, which appears to be attacking his head. The relief measures 3 ft. x 2 ft. x 6 in. Atop the roof line of the building, are three additional heads. From proper right to proper left: a man, seen in profile, turning to his proper left; a frontal bust of a woman (possibly modelled after the artist's wife), and a head with pursed lips.

    Remarks:
The bank was established in 1901/02, and the building constructed in 1904. L. H. Moore, President and Founder of the Bank and amateur sculptor, specifically created the Arkansas Traveller and His Wife for the Bank; the other four pieces, reportedly copies of mythological sculptures, are believed to have been made earlier by Moore. In 1991, the Bank of Gentry failed and reopened as the Citizen's Bank of Gentry.
