    Description: 
    Pedestrian bridge which crosses an interstate highway. The bridge has two components. The yellow half is a suspension bridge and the other half is a half-truss bridge. A poem is written on the horizontal upper member of the bridge in both directions.

    Remarks: 
    Funded with a National Endowment for the Arts, Art in Public Places grant of $25,000 given in 1986 to the Walker Art Center. The bridge was repainted shortly prior to the SOS survey. The poem was written by John Ashberry. IAS files include an excerpt from the book "Monumental Minnesota" by Moira Harris, ([St. Paul]: Pogo Press, 1992).
