    This lunette, one of twenty-two along the second floor corridor, depicts Meriwether Lewis and William Clark with their expedition party standing atop a bluff overlooking Missouri River at the mouth of the Osage River on June 1, 1804. On the river below them are their supply boats, one keelboat and two pirogues, one of which was painted white, the other red.
