Description:
A tall rectangular gravestone adorned with a relief of an angel standing with her head turned to her proper right and her proper right hand raised to the edge of her veil. She holds a stem of lilies in her proper left hand. A sunburst halo appears behind her head. The gravestone rests on a rectangular block base.

Remarks:
Reverend Ransom Bethune Welch, (1824-1890) served as pastor of the Presbyterian church in Gilboa, New York and as Albion Professor at Union College and Auburn Theological Seminary. He was married to Lydia Garnsey Kennedy Welch (1835-1922).
