    Remarks:
The sculptor was a resident of Spencer, and the sculpture is a memorial to his wife, Cora Barnes Viquesney, who died on Oct. 3, 1933. According to the artist, it was his hope that the sculpture "carry its message of release from sorrow and darkness to all who have suffered the loss of some dear one." The title is inspired by a passage from Isaiah 25:7. The sculpture has been refinished. IAS files contain an article from an unidentified source which contains reprints from two related articles from The Owen Leader, Nov. 1, 1934, and May 23, 1935. The 1934 article discusses the dedication of the model for the sculpture, and the 1935 article discusses the dedication of the sculpture. IAS files also contain an advertisement for copies of the sculpture.
