    Description: 
    A full-length portrait of Capt. David Getman standing atop a marble pillar and base. The figure is dressed in military uniform. In his proper right hand he holds a sword. In his proper left hand he holds a sheath. A gun is slung over his back. The pillar is inscribed with text. Below the pillar, recessed behind short columns are two memorial plaques on the front face of the base.
