Remarks:
The monument was designed by Woodstock and Meecham and was fabricated by Runels, Clough, and Company at cost of about $4,500. The state treasury provided half the sum and the City of Lowell appropriated a similar amount. IAS files contain a copy of the Lowell Cultural Resources Inventory form dated May 1979.
