    Description: 
    A crucifixion group set upon the roof of a mausoleum. On the left, a woman stands, draped in a hooded robe with long sleeves and rolled cuffs. She looks skyward, raising her proper left hand up with palm out. On the right, a male stands draped in a robe with loose sleeves and roll cuffs. His hands are folded in prayer and he gazes skyward. In the center, a woman kneels and sits on her foot with proper left knee forward, facing the male. Her body is bowed forward with hands clasped in prayer around a vase in front of her. She wears a loose-fitting dress with long sleeves and a cape draped over her shoulders and back. The cape partially obscures the vase in front of her.

    Title supplied by Inventory cataloger. Mrs. Margaret Strang had the mausoleum and crucifixion group imported from Italy and installed in St. John's Cemetery at a cost of $25,000. Margaret Strang (1868-1927) and her husband William B. Strang (1857-1921) are buried inside the mausoleum.
