    Description: 
    St. Vincent de Paul is seated in ecclesiastical robes and a skullcap. His proper right hand holds a small loaf of bread, while his proper left hand cradles a basket of bread in his lap. He sits atop an inscribed base.

    Remarks: 
    Clay model was contracted by Ars Liturgica. Sculpture was carved in Italy. St. Vincent de Paul was a French priest who founded the Sisters of Charity in 1817. He was later canonized as saint for charity to the poor and sick. For a related article see The Leavenworth Times, Sept. 30, 1980.
