Description:
Bronze figure of a child, standing over a sundial. The figure's body is slightly bent forward at the waist. His arms are stretched forward at a 30 degree angle from his body. He is looking down towards his hands, which may have held something that is now missing. Both the figure and the sundial are set on a bronze plinth, which in turn rests on a granite pedestal. The granite pedestal is at the center of a long granite bench. The bench terminates at each end with a pedestal. The two end pedestals each have a bronze bracket on top; these brackets once held bronze drinking fountains which are now missing. The memorial originally included a pool as well, but the pool has been filled in.
