    Remarks: 
    William Wood, President of American Woolen Company, commissioned architect George C. Shattuck to develop and improve West Parish Cemetery in 1908. The arch was created in memory of B. F. Smith, who died at age twenty-one. He was the grandson of Deacon Peter Smith, an early member of the parish and an employee of American Woolen Company. A nearby inscription reads: Erected in Memory of Benjamin Frankin Smith, Jr. 1879-1908. IAS files contain a Massachusetts Historical Commission Form F - Structure questionnaire dated Feb. 10, 1997.
