Remarks:
Funded by Phoenix Parks, Recreation and Library Department Percent for Art funds, administered by the Phoenix Arts Commission. Named in honor of folk artist/architect Simon Rodia. Created with assistance of students from Harris, Cartwright, Downs, Barry and Spitalny Elementary Schools; Borman Jr. High; and Maryvale High School. The students collected and fabricated many of the ceramic pieces which adorn the pillars.
