    Description: 
    A "classroom" with two walls forming a right angle, with a circular bench in the center of the enclosure, and three circular tree planters. One wall contains three relief plaques with traditional Japanese symbol forms on each side. The second wall has four relief plaques on each side. All the fourteen relief plaques are different.

    Six original plaques by the artist were selected and cast by William Gambling, Potsdam art professor emeritus, who conceived the memorial to honor former College president, H. Austin Peck. Nearby plaque reads: DEDICATED TO/H. AUSTIN PECK/1921/1970/PRESIDENT OF THE COLLEGE/1968-1970/GIVEN BY/THE POTSDAM COLLEGE COMMUNITY/SPONSORED BY/THE ORDER OF PROMETHEUS/SCULPTURE BY/T. KAWASHIMA/DESIGNED BY/W.T. GAMBLING. IAS files contain an excerpt from a walking tour flyer entitled "The Potsdam College Sculpture Park," and a data printout from the College Art Department.
