    Remarks:
Henry Coffin Nevins (1843-1892) was the son of David Nevins, a Boston dry goods merchant. He rose to prominence in the Boston business community becoming director of the Methuen Company and a stockholder in both the Pemberton Co. and the Stevens Linen Works. He became a real estate developer and was responsible for development of the Boston suburbs. The headstone was commissioned by the widow of Henry C. Nevins, Julie Fanchette Nevins. The artist and architects collaborated in the design of the headstone. For additional information see: Homer St. Gaudens, "Saint Gaudens Reminiscences," vol.
