Description:
The fountain consists of a round basin in which stands a column with orb at top, originally the perch for a bronze or brass eagle (now missing).

Remarks:
Donated by Mary Mills and her daughters Isabel and Jennie in memory of their husband and father, Dr. Myron H. Mills (1820-1897). The fountain was originally installed on Main & Lake Streets. It was relocated after being struck by an automobile in May 1931. The eagle was stolen in 1992. IAS files contain related articles from the Livingston County Leader, Sept. 9, 1970 and Aug. 5, 1992, the Democrat and Chronicle, Aug. 9, 1992 and the Mt. Morris Enterprise, Sept. 12, 1992, which detail the theft of the eagle.
