Meyer (1829-1958) wife of Jacob Cassel, and her brother, Samuel K. Meyer (1827-1855), both died young. This piece was passed down in the family of their sister Lydia K. Meyer (1839-?) who married William G. Fretz, to their daughter, Annie Freed (1867-?) who married Abraham C. Kulp, to their son, Linneaus F. Kulp (1893-1981).
