Remarks:
Gift of the Board of Trustees of the Baylor College of Medicine in honor of its chairman, Leonard F. McCollum on his eightieth birthday. The piece was untitled at the time of its purchase and given a title by the artist at its acquisition. The title is taken from a Hindu expression meaning the cycle of life and death. IAS files include related articles from the Houston Post, May 20, 1982 and the Houston Chronicle, May 8, 1982.
