    Remarks:
The sculpture marks the gravesite of Thomas LeTulle and his wife Alta Ree LeTulle. Thomas LeTulle (1910-1988), a self-made cattleman, developed his own style of herding cattle by riding a mule and using dogs instead of people. LeTulle commissioned the $105,000 sculpture three years prior to his death and dedicated it to his wife, Alta Ree LeTulle (1912-1991). He donated the land to the county, to be used as a public cemetery. LeTulle left $50,000 in trust for the sculpture's upkeep.
