    Description: 
    A gravemarker with a full-length figure of a woman kneeling on steps before a cross, a wreath by her feet. Her hands are crossed in her lap, with the palm of her proper right hand facing upward. She wears robes, with a bared proper left shoulder, and has upswept hair. The sculpture marks the grave of Corinne Elliot Lawton.

    Corrine Elliot Lawton died on Jan. 24, 1877, just prior to her wedding day. The sculpture was made in Italy. It was relocated from Laurel Grove Cemetery, Savannah, Georgia, to its present site in 1898.
